  • Testing (SSAT)
  • Recent grades/transcript
  • Teacher recommendations
There is not a required order for completing the application process, and several steps may be completed simultaneously. We will mail admission packets to families new to the admission process upon completion of the online inquiry.

Online Application and Parent Statement
Please complete and submit the online application. The parental statement is intended to assist in our understanding of the applicant’s strengths and weaknesses as well as your hopes and educational objectives for your son. Be sure to highlight any unique talents, interests, extracurricular experiences, skills, or accolades.

Teacher Recommendation Form
McCallie requires recommendations from all applicants’ current Math and English teachers. If the applicant has only one teacher, the current teacher and the previous year’s teacher should each complete a recommendation form. We ask that students have a teacher for at least two months before asking him or her to complete a recommendation form. Personal recommendations are optional and may be submitted at any time.

Teacher recommendations can be requested online through the Applicant Profile by clicking "Request" under the Teacher Recommendations box.

Request for Recommendations and Release of School Report
The School Report Form should be submitted to the school at the end of a student’s first semester. These documents demonstrate a family's request for the current school to provide Official Transcript from previous years, first semester grades for this school year, results of standardized testing, records of attendance, and disciplinary records (if applicable). Families may also include a copy of the applicant’s most recent standardized testing and first semester, report card.
