On Thursday, November 18, members of the McCallie chapter of the National Honor Society loaded 75 turkeys and side items onto Salvation Army trucks as part of the annual drive to provide Thanksgiving meals to their neighbors in Chattanooga. The Upper School chapter of NHS donated the turkeys and Middle Schoolers donated potatoes, vegetables, mac-and-cheese, and cranberry sauce for the families who might not otherwise have a complete Thanksgiving meal to cook at home.

The Salvation Army of Chattanooga noted, "We would like to thank the students, staff and families of the McCallie School for their generous food donation. With your help, the Chattanooga Salvation Army will be able to feed families in need this Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you for continuing to do the most good!"

Photos from the truck loading can be found here.

McCallie families can help The Salvation Army even further by volunteering during the Fall Fest to be held on Wednesday, November 24, beginning at 11 a.m. Help is needed with setup and clean up, game tables, food service, and giving out prizes.
