Squash, McCallie’s newest varsity sport, is the topic of the latest podcast in McCallie’s Stories from the Ridge podcast series. The podcast, which provides an introduction to the new sport, features a discussion between Head of School Lee Burns ’87 and McCallie’s new varsity squash coach Dan Sharplin.

The podcast can be found on McCallie’s Stories from the Ridge page, or by searching for McCallie School Stories from the Ridge on any of the major podcast platforms.

In the podcast, Mr. Sharplin, who comes to the Ridge via his native New Zealand and Boston, shares his vision for McCallie’s squash program and how he envisions it introducing the sport to other high schools in the Southeast, just as McCallie did with its lacrosse and rowing programs in the past. Mr. Sharplin and Mr. Burns also share their vision for a squash facility on McCallie’s campus. And, for the many McCallie alumni and friends who are unfamiliar with squash, Mr. Sharplin gives a brief explanation on how it is played.
