Alumni Achievement Award winners for 2020 and 2021.

Over 500 alumni came home to the Ridge for several activities related to Reunion Weekend. They were able to reminisce with their McCallie brethren and catch up with former teachers and coaches.

Some alumni started the weekend early by meeting with their classmates on Thursday night for casual events around town. Many ended up at a local McCallie-owned establishment, sporting blue McCallie koozies.

The weekend continued with perfect weather for golf on Lookout Mountain, sporting clays out in Spencer, Tennessee, and a HUGE tailgate on the soccer field with the entire McCallie “family”!  The evening was capped off with a dramatic football win over Baylor at Spears Stadium in a game between two top-ranked teams.

On Saturday, the day began with an alumni awards ceremony in the Quadrangle, where several alumni were recognized for their professional and civic achievements with the Alumni Achievement Awards, and for their loyalty to McCallie and their class with True Blue Awards. A complete list of all award recipients is below. A recording of the ceremony is available here

Alumni were also invited to attend two presentations on campus. The first featured Dr. Duke Richey ‘86, Baker Chair of American History, presenting “The Man on the Medal: The Life, Death, and Legacy of Clifford Barker Grayson ‘12.” A recording of the presentation is available here. A well-attended presentation and student panel focused on McCallie’s public purpose initiatives that have become an integral part of the school.

Saturday was capped off with 18 class parties around town. We painted the town blue!
