McCallie is pleased to announce that Andy Hirt has been appointed as Dean of Enrollment Management.

As Dean of Enrollment Management, he will manage all aspects of the student and family enrollment journey for day and boarding admissions, summer programs, financial aid, and student re-enrollment.

Andy brings with him extensive knowledge and experience, including deep expertise in the area of admission and enrollment management developed over the course of his career working in both boarding and day schools. In addition to his admissions and enrollment experience, Andy possesses unparalleled school relationships and a unique understanding of the boarding school landscape which he developed through his role as Chief of Staff and Vice President for Advancement at The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS). Before working for TABS, Andy served as Director of Admission and Financial Aid at Brooks School in Massachusetts and Director of Admission and Enrollment Management at Asheville School in North Carolina. At Asheville School, Andy was able to grow enrollment by 17% to achieve the highest enrollment in the school’s history. Andy earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Wittenberg University in Ohio, and a master’s degree in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Highly recommended for his independent school expertise, his leadership skills, and his relationship-oriented approach, Andy will bring new energy and foresight to promoting McCallie as a thought leader and market standard in the all-boys boarding experience, securing the school’s competitive position on a more broad national- and global-basis.

Upon accepting his position, Andy shared, "Making the move to Chattanooga, where I can put 20+ years of enrollment management and independent school experience to work for a leading school like McCallie, is a dream scenario for me. I look forward to leading the effort to firmly establish McCallie at the top of the list of the best independent boarding schools in the nation."

With his wife, Ali, and nine-year old son, Brody, Andy will be moving to Chattanooga from Asheville, North Carolina in early July.
