McCallie is an All-Boys Private Boarding School and Day School, a Christian-based College Prep School. 
McCallie seeks out and accepts boys from all ethnic, racial, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds and places a high value on a diverse student body.

Alumnus Bill Brock ’49 passes away

Bill Brock ’49, former U.S. Senator, and Secretary of Labor and Chairman of the Republican Party, died Thursday, March 25, at his home in Florida. Mr. Brock served as a member of McCallie’s Board of Trustees from 1995 to 1997 and received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1971. Head of School Lee Burns ’87, said, “While the nation mourns the loss of Senator and Secretary Brock, we at McCallie mourn the loss of “Bill,” a strapping, bright-eyed young man who honed his leadership skills and his love of country here on the Ridge. Throughout his life, Mr. Brock exemplified the values of Honor, Truth and Duty and set the example for many of his fellow alumni.”
