The class of 2022
The 117th graduating class of McCallie received diplomas in Spears Stadium on May 15. Head of School Lee Burns ’87 delivered last words of wisdom to the 181 seniors, thanking them for their hard work, patience, humor, affection, and resilience. As they venture from the safe and sound campus and routines of McCallie, they venture into a world of unknowns. “I encourage you to focus inwardly as the foundation for making a positive difference in the world. Work first on your heart, your who, and your why,” he said.
“From a place deep within you, a reservoir of the heart and soul, be men of character, of faith, of service, of showing and sharing your love. For not only is that the fulfilling life, the wise life, that is the life in which you can make a significant and sustaining difference with the people around you and the world we share.” – Lee Burns ’87, Head of School
