Nick Montoya '07

Los Angeles Alumni Chapter Chair

Nick attended McCallie as a boarding student from Rock Hill, SC and is a member of the class of 2007. While at McCallie, he was a member of the crew team. Nick served on the National Honor Society and was a Resident Advisor. He was also a Michaels-Dickson Scholar. Nick was the recipient of the John C. Johnson ’66 Spanish Award and the McCallie True Blue Award. As an alum, Nick has served on his 10- and 15-year reunion committees, served as a regional chairman for New York City, a phonathon caller, and was a class captain for the Rowing Center campaign.

Nick attended the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Finance.

Nick is an investor and portfolio manager with Pleasant Lake Partners, a New York-based public and private equity investment firm focused primarily in the consumer, internet, and tech/media/telecommunications sectors. He and his wife, Julia, live in Hermosa Beach, CA. Outside of work hours, he can usually be found at the beach, hiking, running, or traveling somewhere new.
