Student Health Services
The McCallie Student Health Center and Infirmary serves the entire McCallie campus community including boarding and day students, faculty and staff, and on-campus families. Under the supervision of McCallie school physician, Jack McCallie, MD, '75, our nurses provide care for daily illnesses and injuries, assist students in the management of chronic health conditions, prepare for health emergencies, oversee the collection, review and storing of student health information, act as a liaison to community health resources, and promote health and wellness.
We strive for every boy to be growing and healthy in a holistic sense — socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. We want our boys to lead lives of balance and integration, with opportunities with rest, reflection and relaxation. Through our advisor and residential programs, as well as our Counseling Department, we teach habits, life skills and disciplines of wellness.
The ten-bed Infirmary is available to boarding students who need to receive nursing care and convalesce away from the dormitory. The Health Center is located on the upper campus, across from Founders Dorm, near the Campus Bookstore. We welcome you to drop in and visit sometime.
