Director of Rowing

The GPS and McCallie Director of Rowing will be the face and inspirational leader of a comprehensive interscholastic program that supports and develops young women and men in grades 9-12. Reflecting the principles of the GPS and McCallie school mission statements, the Director will implement a program that supports student-athletes while maintaining both schools’ integrity as premier academic institutions. The Director will be a progressive leader, working closely with a team of coaches, administrators and other support personnel to deliver a safe, instructional program that teaches and promotes the benefits of rowing to students. This position requires a visionary leader with a well-defined plan that continues to elevate and build upon the many previous successes of both institutions’ rowing teams.

The Director of Rowing will oversee a new $5M facility and be responsible for scheduling events, managing upkeep, cleanliness, and program safety. GPS and McCallie will share the compensation for the Director and will appoint separate head coaches who will report to the Director as well as to their respective Athletic Directors.
