The McCallie Middle School golf program is open to sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders who have experience and who want to improve their games and master the rules, and who desire to compete on a team with golfers of equal ability in the Chattanooga area.
McCallie's golfers use several top-notch and highly-rated area courses for practices and tournaments. And the newly completed indoor golf training center on campus offers an excellent opportunity for boys to work on all aspects of their game.
The season begins in February with a full schedule of practices and matches and concludes in April with an 18-hole tournament. The practices last approximately two hours, and we use the facilities of Moccasin Bend Golf Course for practices and home matches.
In addition to concentrating on overall game improvement, Middle School golf emphasizes course management, technical skills, knowledge of the rule book, sportsmanship and supporting and encouraging other members of the team.
Former golf professional Rob Riddle oversees the high school and middle school golf programs.
