Eric Via ’15 shared a fun update in my life. 'I started a full-service marketing and advertising firm, Via Marketing just under 2 years ago. Recently, we were crowned as the best small business in our region. As a newer small business, this is a big deal due to such great competition. We believe that much of our success has been due to our community involvement. Our team actively partners with non-profit organizations, lending their marketing expertise to help these causes flourish. My wife and I also serve on many local boards, offering valuable insights and strategies to enhance various marketing endeavors within the community. We donate to organizations and sponsor many events in our area including funding of local arts encompassing a wide range of cultural benefits and sponsored a symposium for Women's leadership. Our deep-roots with our community also has set us apart and allows us to provide even better services to other small businesses than other larger firms as we take considerations for our area's unique small business needs. We have closed on a commercial property in downtown Wilson, NC and will be moving in early 2024. My journey from McCallie has led to my community-focused entrepreneurialism and our award shows the payoff of the unique opportunities I had available at McCallie. I am proud to be an alumni and hope to offer any insight in my experiences to other alumni as well. I have included some pictures of our unique company vehicle. My wife is also pictured in these as well as an interview we had as a small business in NC with Congressman Don Davis.'
