James Lovett '82

James Lovett

James was a boarding student from Owensboro, KY, and a graduate of the Class of 1982.  He served on the Student Council, was a Prefect, a S.P.I.R.I.T.U.A.L, and a member of the Swim Team, French Club and History Team. He is a recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award (2017), and has been a volunteer for his reunions, a Regional Chapter Chair of New York City (2015), served on the Athletic Council, and recently was a member of the Strategic Planning Advisory Group.

He received his BA from Northwestern University and JD from Harvard University.

James currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Myonex, Inc., a leading global clinical trial supply company. Prior to joining Myonex in 2017, he served as the Corporate Vice President of Covance Inc., playing a key role in the 2015 sale of Covance to LabCorp.  He began his career as a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery law firm, and served as a law clerk to Judge Boyce Martin, Jr, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

He has previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Wistar Institute, the Boards of Directors of FoodChain ID and Bioclinica (now part of Clario), as well as the nonprofits, Scholar Academies and the National Association for Biomedical Research.

James is married to Robin, and has 6 daughters. He resides in Philadelphia, PA. His cousin, Turner Howard, is a member of the McCallie Class of 1965.
