Chattanooga Alumni Chapter Chair

John attended McCallie as a boarding student from Sheffield, Alabama. While at McCallie, John was on the lacrosse team, participated in S.P.I.R.I.T.U.A.L.S., and was a prefect in South Hutcheson Hall. Beyond his time on campus as a student, John has been a member of the Chattanooga Alumni Council since 2021.

John attended Hampden-Sydney College and obtained an MBA from Penn State University. John has been involved in the energy industry in his professional life, working with and starting energy efficiency, renewables, and distributed energy management companies and programs across North America. Along the way, John has had the good fortune to live and work in Washington DC, California, and Texas.

In his spare time, John spends way too much time riding and racing bicycles on the road during the summer and on the mountain bike trails in the winter. He is married to Presh, a native of Lookout Mountain and a graduate of GPS. They have a ten-year-old son known as 'Bap' and they live on Lookout Mountain. The family moved back to Chattanooga from Texas during the pandemic to raise Bap closer to family, the outdoors, and McCallie.
