Taylor McElroy '91

Birmingham Alumni Chapter Chair

Taylor was a 4-year boarder, class of 1991. He said, “It was one of the best times in my life. I was lucky to get a full scholarship and made the most of a life changing event.” He was a member of Keo Kio, Student Government Association Vice President, Junior Class President, Senior Dorm Prefect, and various other groups. He also played soccer and was on the cross country and Skeet Teams.

He received his undergraduate degree in accounting and his MBA from the University of Alabama, where he was involved as a Student Government Association Senator, the Judicial Board, and various other groups. Taylor is a Sr. Vice President – Wealth Management at Stifel Nicolaus, and he lives in Birmingham with his wife, Erin, and 3 children.

He keeps busy on the ball fields coaching soccer, baseball, and football. He is a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church, where he serves as a Trustee and a Board member for The Canterbury Day School; he also is Chairman of the Board for the Alabama Symphony Endowment as well as a Board Member for the Alabama Symphony. He is also a member of The Country Club of Birmingham and Monday Morning Quarterback Club, Rotary. In his spare time, he enjoys time hunting, fishing, and golfing.
