Affording McCallie

Families interesting in applying for assistance should complete the application via Clarity.

Tuition assistance grants are made based on each family's specific demonstrated need as well as the availability of funds at the time of application. Without a completed tuition assistance application, we cannot make an accurate determination of how much a family might be awarded.

There are no restrictions placed on students receiving tuition assistance. Like all other students, tuition assistance recipients are expected to maintain high academic standards, conduct themselves in a responsible and honorable manner, and play an active role in the life of the school. Failure to meet these expectations could result in the review of a boy's continued enrollment at McCallie and his tuition assistance.

Students are required to bring their own laptop or device for classwork/homework. While McCallie does not have a formal uniform policy, the dress code requires solid-colored dress shirts and ties, as well as long pants (excluding jeans or denim). Additionally, McCallie polo shirts are optional to wear on Fridays. There are no additional activity or athletic fees; however, certain sports or extracurricular clubs may require individual purchases depending on the specific activity. 

All Tennessee residents who are applying for tuition assistance are required to apply for the Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS). Click here for more detailed information about the EFS program.

Your award will be adjusted accordingly after receiving the EFS. The EFS is not an addition to the tuition assistance award, it becomes part of your family’s calculated affordability. The formula that we use is:
