Applying to McCallie: Day

The best way to learn about McCallie is to see it in person. Throughout the fall and early winter, there are several Boy Visit Days for middle & upper school applicants. Parent conversations and campus tours are highly encouraged and can be scheduled at your convenience at 423-493-5631 or admission@mccallie.org

To apply for the 2022-2023 school year, go to our online application portal, create an account, and submit an application. Once you submit your application, you will have access to the other required forms through the application portal. . 

Using the application portal, electronically send recommendation forms to your son's current English & math teachers. Recommendation forms will be available to send beginning Nov. 1, 2020.

Middle school applicants: Upload transcripts for the previous year and current year report card for fall semester  in the application portal. 

Upper school applicants: Upload transcripts for your previous two years of school and current year report card for fall semester. 

 In addition, send the school report form to the principal or counselor at your current school. School report forms will be made available on Nov. 1. 

This is the applicant’s opportunity to be creative and tell us about himself.  He will  use the form in the application portal, upload a short video or write an essay detailing his interests and why he sees himself at McCallie.

McCallie requires applicants to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), and we are scheduled to host the SSAT on December 4th and January 15th. Students will test in small groups in socially distant classrooms and be required to follow McCallie's Covid-19 health and safety protocols for the date of the test. Please visit ssat.org for information about scheduling, preparation, and new details on how to take the test at home for those who cannot make it to campus.
