Three New Administrative Appointments

Penny Grant, a 25-year veteran of the Development Office, was named Director of Development and officially took over the responsibilities of the office on July 1. Mrs. Grant replaces Curtis Baggett '65, the 40-year "road warrior" for McCallie's fundraising efforts who retired after leading the Development Office's efforts since 2002. Mrs. Grant has previously served as Director of the Annual Sustaining Fund and Director of Capital Gifts. She served since 2010 as Associate Director of Development.MIKE WOOD NAMED DIRECTOR OF SUMMER PROGRAMS
Longtime Sports Camp Director Mike Wood was appointed Director of Summer Programs. Mr. Wood will now manage a program that welcomes more than 1,000 kids onto the Ridge every summer, with more than 20 camps and sports clinics, and a recently-added "Holiday Clinics" over Christmas Break. Bill Eiselstein, who retired this summer, was a 45-year veteran of McCallie and led the summer efforts for almost three decades. Mr. Wood has worked as a coach and camp director at McCallie since 1988. He will continue in his roles as head coach for varsity cross country and track.HANK BRAMBLET NAMED DIRECTOR OF SPORTS CAMP
Hank Bramblet '95, who has served in the Admission Office since 1999, was appointed Mike Wood's successor as Director of Sports Camp. McCallie Sports Camp is a two-week boarding camp with three separate sessions. More than 300 boys participate in the popular camp every summer. Mr. Bramblet has worked at McCallie Sports Camp every summer since he began, as a junior at McCallie, in 1994.
