Here is a quick summer update on accomplishments from three golfers and a lacrosse player . . .Golfers Finish in Top 10 at Men’s Metro Championship
Rising junior Gordon Hulgan, last year’s TSSAA Division II State Champion, was runner-up to Cody Godfrey, a rising sophomore at Tennessee Wesleyan College. Andrew Weathers, a rising senior, finished in 10th place.
Hulgan played the Windstone Golf Club course in Ringgold, Ga., in five-under-par 211 for his three rounds. He was five strokes behind Godfrey. Andrew finished at two-under 214.
2011 graduate Patrick Clossin, the 2010 Division II State Champion, tied for 13th at even par 216.
Henderson Named US Lacrosse Academic All-American
A two-year varsity player as a defenseman for the Blue Tornado, Tripp was also involved in Habitat for Humanity and Spanish Club and served as a resident advisor in the dormitory. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the Cum Laude Society and the Honor Roll. A boarding student from Charlotte, N.C., Tripp will attend Wake Forest University.
