about the Lebovitz and Chapin family businesses . . .The Father’s Day edition of the
Chattanooga Times Free Press included a feature on the Lebovitz and Chapin families and how a handful of local businesses have found success with the family business format.
Charles ’55 is the founder and chairman of
CBL and Associates, one of the nation’s largest developers and managers of shopping malls. His three sons,
Stephen ’79, Michael ’82 and
Alan ’86, all hold executive roles in the family business.
Alan’s son Arthur and Michael’s son Murray are both rising seventh-graders at McCallie.
Also included in the feature is Rock City owner
Bill Chapin '72, who took over the business from his father
Edward Young Chapin III '40.
