Outdoor Program
Overview
The mission of McCallie's Outdoor Education Program is to offer alternative and outdoor -based opportunities that emphasize fun and safety while developing camaraderie, self sufficiency, leadership, confidence and a respect for the natural world and our place in it. Have fun in the great outdoors!

McCallie's outdoor program offers opportunities for students to learn about different outdoor activities. The focus of the program is to have a relaxed fun time that encourages positive interactions between students and adults. Student leadership, communication and responsibility are important skills that are encouraged to grow while we are out. There are three facets to the program: weekend trips, afternoon activities and extended expeditions.

Weekend trips are frequently offered to the whole student body. They allow the students to choose from a wide range of different activities.

The Outdoor Program offers an afternoon activities component with many exciting and challenging options after school. Guys can participate in Kayaking, Mountainbiking, Climbing or Ultimate Frisbee through the Outdoor Program.

McCallie offers Extended Expeditions to places around the globe. These trips often combine the challenges of various outdoor activities with language and cultural barriers.  Click on the Expeditionary Learning link to the left to see more information on these trips.
