The guides to planning a student’s course of study at
McCallie contain comprehensive overviews of McCallie’s academic
policies and course offerings. Students and parents will want to study
the contents carefully before registering for courses. Most pertinent academic topics, as well as the school's various policies and procedures, are explored in detail in the school's "Blue Book,"
the student and parent handbook updated annually for both the Middle
and Upper schools. You can see a PDF of the most recent version by
clicking on the appropriate link at right. Upper School courses and some Middle School courses count toward a student's diploma requirements (p. 19 of the Upper School Blue Book),
which reflect McCallie’s stance both as an institution dedicated to
rigorous college preparation and as a place where boys can discover
unique talents and abilities. In planning a course of study, students
will have to make some deliberate choices. Closely
aligned with the school's academic goals is its grading philosophy.

receive, click on Grades at McCallie (p. 23 of the Upper School Blue Book). |
