Over the past decade, an average of 25 students have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as Semifinalists, Commended, Achievement or Hispanic scholars.
 
AP (ADVANCED PLACEMENT)
  • McCallie offers 18 AP courses. 
  • Three-quarters of the graduating class earns a passing score on at least one AP couse during their high school careers, and 90% of the students earn a 3 or higher on at least one exam.
  • In May of 2014, 253 students in grades 10-12 sat for 565 AP exams. Students took an average of 2.23 exams each.
  • The pass rate for the exams was 88% compared to the TN state average of 60%
  • Students took AP exams in 22 different subject areas.
