Access Science: the world's leading scientific encyclopedia, the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology
American National Biography: biographies and portraits of over 17,400 American men and women.
Britannica Online: includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus.
CQ Researcher Archives - offers researchers access to an expanded database of reports extending as far back as 1923. It provides users with original, comprehensive reporting on issues in a balanced, unbiased manner, along with tools to study how these topics have changed over time.
Current Biography Illustrated: 1940-present: contains more than 15,000 full text biographies and more than 9,400 obituaries, with photographs, from all of the volumes of Current Biography Yearbook, from 1940 to the present.
Academic Search Elite: full text for nearly 1700 scholarly journals
MAS Ultra: full text for 460 general periodicals
Health Source: Consumer Edition: full text, abstracts and indexing for over 300 journals in the health & medical fields
Newpaper Source: fulltext of 245 regional newspapers, 18 international newspapers, news wires and columns
ERIC: citations and abstracts of over 980 education-related journals
Professional Development Collection: full text articles from 500 journals, for professional educators
Encyclopedia Americana: electronic version of the standard encyclopedia
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia: based on the "Academic American Encyclopedia"
New Book of Knowledge: leading source for accurate, accessible information for younger students
New Book of Popular Science: often rated the top science encyclopedia for students
Lands and Peoples: one of the best sources for geographical and cultural information

Newsbank: primary source material on current events and contemporary history
New York Times (Historical Newspapers collection) - look at the full text of every article from the New York Times from 1851- 2001. You can read the full text, as well as look at an image of what that page looked like when published.
Opposing Viewpoints Resources Center - part of the Infotrac site, Gale has taken one of its most respected print series - Greenhaven's Opposing Viewpoints - and created a virtual library of resources, designed to aid students in the study of today's hottest social issues.
Oxford English Dictionary - fantastic resource for definitions and word histories.
Oxford Reference Online contains over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press, as well as an expanding range of key titles in the acclaimed Oxford Companions series plus the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. It is a fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of these books.
Religion and Philosophy Collection: part of the EbscoHost site. Full text of over 240 journals on theology and philosophy.
